We are seeking an experienced , full-charge contract Bookkeeper to lead the management of our QuickBooks based office financials. We are a facility that produces high quality Mediterranean food in Boulder and this position is required to be in office for 20 to 25 hours per week on a variable schedule. This is a contract position and will remain as such.
The role requires 3 years+ of experience in QuickBooks desktop software (NOT THE ONLINE VERSION) and the QuickBooks Payroll functionality. Experience with a time clock system is a plus.
A background and reference check is required.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform work in-person in Boulder in an office setting 3-4 days a week
- Enter payments from checks and ACH
-Reconcile invoices to clients and payments received
- Adjust invoices based discounts applied by customers
- Run AR Aging Reports and identity problem areas in conjunction with the Office Manager
- Make payments to vendors
- Make weekly tax payments to the State of Colorado
- Prepare tax documents and make payments at the end of the fiscal year
- Run employee and contractor timecard reports on a bi-weekly basis and correct mistakes
- Create paper paychecks and direct deposits for employees and contractors
- Run miscellaneous QuickBooks reports as needed
- Work with the Owner and Office Manager on miscellaneous projects that require bookkeeping knowledge
Required Experience
- Use of Quickbooks desktop application
- Use of Quickbooks Payroll functionality
- 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping experience
Preferred Experience
- Experience with office processes of a food production facility or with grocery stores
