Job Brief:
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with our Accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate holds a Finance degree (preferably followed by accounting CPD courses). Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
- Perform account receivable functions, including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Generate and create well-presented reports.
- Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data.
- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Proven 5 years bookkeeping experience.
- Must be proficient and adapt enough with computers to be able to log in to multiple professional Dashboards, extract data to use in Excel Spreadsheets.
- Must be experienced in using Xero.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Ability to manage the intra-company loan ledgers (including calculation of historical currency conversion rates) and global payroll processing.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills, along with a knack for numbers.
- Proven ability to code and enter expense invoices, ensuring compliance with all established company policies and procedures.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance laws in Australia, New Zealand, India, the UAE, the UK, the US and Mexico is a bonus.
