Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support the organization’s financial health by performing precise data entry, reconciling accounts, and preparing essential financial reports. Responsibilities
- Manage and record all financial transactions using QuickBooks
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data accuracy across all accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
- Conduct payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and governmental accounting standards.
- Assist with budgeting activities and provide detailed financial report writing to support management decision-making.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all bookkeeping activities, including account reconciliation records and audit trails.
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within the fabrication industry.
- Strong familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks is essential.
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with governmental accounting standards and tax-related processes is a plus.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation accurately.
- Familiarity with financial concepts including budgeting, account reconciliation, and financial report writing.
- Other responsibilities to be discussed at interview.
- Excellent attention to detail along with strong organizational skills; proficiency in 10 key typing is desirable. Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
