Job Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Bookkeeper to take full ownership of our financial recordkeeping and day-to-day accounting functions. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. Your expertise will support our organization’s financial health by handling a variety of bookkeeping tasks, including ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Process and record all vendor invoices accurately and on time
- Manage payment schedules to ensure all vendor accounts remain in good standing
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Accounts Receivable
- Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts with team members
- Post customer payments and reconcile receivables
Loan & Credit Card Management
- Ensure all company loans, lines of credit, and credit card balances are paid on time — no exceptions
- Track payment due dates and amounts; flag any cash flow concerns to management proactively
- Reconcile credit card statements monthly and code expenses accurately
General Bookkeeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and perform monthly reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow summaries
- Support year-end close and provide documentation for tax preparation and audits
- Maintain organized, audit-ready records for all financial transactions
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate environments
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and journal entries with high accuracy
- Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry and record keeping
