Job Summary
Full-time Bookkeeper will be responsible for accurate and timely preparation of various accounting entries, ongoing reports, and the management of project budgets, processing all invoices received for payment, and ensuring the prompt payment of all accounts accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Receive and review day-to-day invoices, receipts, change orders, purchase orders, check requests, and/or other related documentation for completeness and compliance with financial policies, procedures, budget, and contractual requirements.
- Accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable including invoices, approved draws, purchase orders, etc.
- Update monthly analysis and prepare budget trend reports for construction projects.
- Assist CFO with month-end, quarterly and yearly closing activities.
- Assist CFO with financial reports for management review on job costing, WIP, AIA billing, retainage, etc.
- Communicate project financial information to management, as well as subcontractors, vendors, and related construction professionals as needed.
- Perform a range of accounting and administrative duties to support the company.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (2 years) in Accounting or Business (minimum). Preferred: Bachelor's degree (4 years) in Accounting or Business
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Proficient with QuickBooks Online.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 suite, and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Experience in accounting for construction company preferred.
- Experience with job costing strongly preferred.
- Ability to report to office location in Endwell, NY daily.
