Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. Duties
- Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions using accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately to maintain the integrity of the general ledger
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to support accurate financial reporting
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
- Generate detailed financial reports, including budget analysis, account reconciliation reports, and other financial documentation as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and debits & credits
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices and governmental accounting standards is a plus
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and experience in financial report writing
- Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external auditors
- Prior experience with payroll processing, tax preparation, or budgeting is advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
