We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the daily financial operations of our company. This role is responsible for assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, daily financial maintenance, and job cost tracking.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and experienced in QuickBooks, with the ability to maintain reliable financial records in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience with JobTread (CRM) and Dext (Document Intake Software) is strongly valued, and tax knowledge and financial strategy planning are a plus.


This position plays an important role in keeping the company's financials organized, current, and aligned with daily operations.


Location: In Office or Remote


Compensation:

$21 - $25 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable invoices accurately and on time
  • Provide daily and weekly updates and forecasting
  • Generate invoices and manage accounts receivable collections
  • Enter and maintain daily financial transactions in QuickBooks
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
  • Assist with job costing and coding expenses to the correct jobs and accounts
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with sales tax, 1099s, and tax-related documentation
  • Work within JobTread (CRM) to align financial and project records
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, clients, and internal team members

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of general bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel


Must-Haves

  • Proven bookkeeping experience with strong knowledge of AP and AR
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally


Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in the construction, remodeling, or project-based industry
  • Familiarity with JobTread or some type of CRM
  • Familiarity with Financial Planning, and transitioning from an LLC to an S Corp
  • Knowledge of job costing and project-related accounting
  • Experience with sales tax, 1099s, and general tax support
