Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure the accuracy of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in corporate and non-profit accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software platforms. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. Your expertise will contribute to the overall financial health and compliance of our organization, enabling informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

THIS IS A FULL TIME IN HOUSE POSITION. We are NOT open to remote working arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivable, and performing account reconciliations.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • Electronic medical records and patient interaction
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and summaries to support management review and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with budgeting processes and monitor financial activities against organizational budgets.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards in all bookkeeping activities.
  • Support payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental reporting as required.
  • Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities, resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all financial transactions for audit readiness and transparency.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping within corporate or non-profit environments, with familiarity in public accounting practices preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • Prior Electronic medical records experience is preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and tax regulations relevant to non-profit organizations is advantageous.
  • Experience with bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll processing.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to interpret financial data accurately and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques is desirable.
  • Basic typing skills (10 key) for data entry accuracy; effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
