Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health and provide clear, reliable reports that inform strategic decisions. Duties
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and ledger maintenance using accounting software Quick Books Desktop.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify account balances align with supporting documentation
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and other management reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Oversee payroll processing and maintain related records with precision
- Assist with budgeting activities and provide support for tax preparation and compliance efforts
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Platforms
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP standards, and governmental accounting practices if applicable
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
- Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and account analysis
- Familiarity with financial concepts including balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing
- Ability to perform 10 key typing with high accuracy for data entry tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records
- Prior experience in non-profit or public accounting is a plus but not required

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
