Job Description:
As a Bookkeeper at Appliance World, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Working as part of the accounting team, you will handle a variety of day-to-day financial tasks, from processing invoices to managing accounts payable and receivable.

Role Responsibilities
  • Reconcile daily sales reports and accurately post bank deposits
  • Prepare and process invoices for customer pickups and deliveries
  • Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain organized vendor records, files, and supporting documentation
  • Support accounts receivable activities, including monitoring overdue balances, researching payment issues, and assisting with collections efforts
  • Reconcile company credit card statements, maintain receipt documentation, ensure proper approvals, and confirm timely payment processing
  • Receive, review, and maintain accurate tax-exempt documentation, including resale, capital improvement, IDA certificates, etc.
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure account accuracy
  • Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate monthly spiff processing, including preparing reports, submitting documentation to manufacturers, maintaining payment records, and following up as needed
  • Receive and post check, ACH, and wire payments accurately
  • Maintain vendor receivables records, track outstanding vendor balances, follow up on reimbursements or credits, and post payments accurately upon receipt
  • Collect and maintain current insurance certificates from delivery partners and trade vendors
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves and business needs change

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, including cost accounting and general bookkeeping practices
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Previous back-office or retail industry experience is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting Hourly Range $28.85/hr.- $30.05/hr. ($60,000 - $62,500 annually)
