The Position

As a Bookkeeper, you will support the financial operations of our apartment communities and assist the Community Manager and corporate team with day-to-day accounting functions. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing property bills and invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

You will also oversee security deposit accounting, including tracking deposits, processing refunds, and maintaining compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations. Additional responsibilities include ensuring vendor payments and property expenses are handled efficiently.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a process-driven mindset are essential to success in this role.

Duties

  • Enter and process property bills and invoices accurately and timely
  • Review invoices for accuracy and proper coding
  • Assist with security deposit accounting
  • Perform additional bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, or AppFolio
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and accounting practices
  • Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries
  • Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis
  • Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial reports
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with bill entry and invoice processing

A professional, detail-oriented Bookkeeper who can effectively work with the corporate team to support the daily financial operations of the company, including bill entry, invoice processing, expense tracking, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and capable of handling a high volume of data entry with accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Do you have excellent communication skills? You must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Do you have strong computer skills, including MS Office, property management software App Folio?
  • Do you have a high School diploma or equivalency certificate?
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and an operable vehicle.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
