Bookkeeper

Tax Bookkeeper:

Insightful Talent is proud to partner with a privately held, family-owned accounting firm in Waukesha that has been serving its clients with integrity and personalized attention. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their close-knit team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a supportive environment, enjoys working with numbers, and has a strong understanding of accounting processes, including payroll and tax-related tasks.

What you’ll be doing:

· Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into accounting software.

· Handle bank reconciliations and ensure monthly financial records are balanced.

· Assist in the preparation of tax returns by organizing and reviewing relevant financial documents.

· Process and manage payroll for clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

· Maintain and organize client files and records with confidentiality and precision.

· Support CPAs and senior staff with bookkeeping tasks and client communication when needed.

· Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and manage general ledger entries.

What you need to bring:

· 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting support role.

· Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

· Understanding of payroll systems and processing requirements.

· Familiarity with tax return documents (personal and/or business).

· Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of organization.

· Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset.

· Experience working in a small business or family-owned firm is a plus.
