Bookkeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Your expertise in financial software, accounting principles, and compliance standards will be essential to support our organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable; journal entries and Daily Sales Reports from POS system into Quickbooks.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies through effective communication with suppliers and internal departments.
• Ensure timely processing and accurate coding of invoices for 12 separate entities.
• Maintain records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
• Monthly credit card reconciliation.
• Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll, new hire paperwork, termination, and other HR functions; maintain organized employee files.
• Enter payroll reports into Quickbooks.
• Assist with reporting Food Costs, Labor Costs, and handling Unemployment and Worker Compensation Claims.
• Ensure Intercompany Loans / GL are balanced on a monthly basis.
• Ensure Utility, Rent, and Insurances are paid on time; analyze these costs regularly.
• Assist in annual license renewals.
• Support CFO.

Experience

• 5+ years in similar role, or progressive accounting
• 2+ years experience in Quickbooks
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Fast data entry skills
• Able to work independently
• Self motivated and ability to problem solve

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
