TITLE: Bookkeeper

DATE EFFECTIVE: May 17, 2026

DEPARTMENT: Administration

REPORTS TO: CFO

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Bookkeeper role is an essential part of the Administrative Team. This position is responsible for maintaining the company’s financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The Bookkeeper will perform a variety of administrative tasks and support our company including providing support to the company President/CEO and CFO.

ESSENTIAL TASKS/DUTIES:

Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents.

Use various software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.

Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.

Verify transactions are recorded correctly.

Ensure legal requirements compliance.

Manage invoices, tax payments, 1099’s and vendor profiles.

Manage tasks related to timekeeping, travel reimbursement, accounts payable and receivable, etc.

Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements.

Assist in month-end closing and annual financial audits, including account reconciliations.

Review and analyze monthly financial statements.

Prepare multi-state sales and use tax reporting.

Communicate professionally and effectively with all clients, customers, management, and team members.

Comply with all safety rules and regulations.

Promote a positive company image.

Organize and maintain files and databases in a confidential manner.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality, accountability, and transparency with President and CFO

Recommend ways to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and provide an optimal level of customer service.

Maintain neat and clean work area at all times.

Additional duties and special projects to include, but not limited to: HR, Accounting, and Administrative Assistant tasks. as assigned, as the job progresses and company needs arise.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.

Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Must possess strong analytical skills and be proficient in oral and written communication.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn company-specific software systems.

Familiarity with Windows operating system

Experience working with QuickBooks preferred.

Computer, copier, and calculator literate.

Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and have a desire to learn.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.

Problem-solving with the ability to generate workable solutions.

Comfortable with routinely shifting demands.

Able to produce consistently high-quality work.

Team player with good judgment, tact, and strong interpersonal skills.

Good attendance habits.

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s license.

Ability to pass background checks

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration (additional experience will be considered in place of education)

CERTIFICATES REQUIRED: None required

PAY: Starting salary range: $45,000 to $60,000 a year, commiserate with experience

WORK LOCATION: In office in Georgetown. For the right candidate, there may be potential for the opportunity to work partially remotely as agreed upon.
