About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial record-keeping of a dynamic Dubai-based business. Reporting directly to the Accountant, you will own the accurate capture and reconciliation of daily transactions, providing the clean, up-to-date books that underpin management reporting, payroll, and tax compliance.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, accurate, and proactive. You will work closely with the Accountant, who will review your work, set priorities, and support your development — making this an excellent opportunity for a bookkeeper looking to grow within a structured finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Bookkeeping

  • Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process accurately
  • Maintain up-to-date and well-organised general ledgers
  • Process supplier invoices, expenses, and payment runs
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

Reconciliations

  • Perform regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Identify and clear outstanding or unreconciled items in a timely manner
  • Flag discrepancies and escalate issues to the Accountant

Supporting the Accountant

  • Prepare and provide accurate transaction data to support monthly management accounts
  • Assist with VAT workings and documentation for FTA compliance
  • Support payroll processing and record-keeping as directed
  • Help maintain audit-ready records and proper supporting documentation

Records & Controls

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold access controls over financial data
  • Keep digital and physical records organised and retrievable
  • Support process improvements and reporting efficiencies under the Accountant’s guidance

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally within the UAE
  • Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Zoho, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with UAE VAT requirements (an advantage)
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Good written and verbal English communication
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to learn

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
