R&M Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our fast paced Accounting team. This role focuses on managing all aspects of the accounting department. Accounts payable, Accounts Receivables, vendor payments, and certified payroll reporting across multiple affiliated companies. The ideal candidate will also assist in setting up and maintaining a purchase order (PO) system to streamline procurement and expense tracking system.
Responsibilities
- Enter, review, and process invoices accurately
- Coordinate and process vendor payments
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with regulations
- Assist with the setup, implementation, and maintenance of a PO (Purchase Order) system
- Ensure proper matching of POs, invoices, and receipts to maintain financial accuracy
- Contact Project Managers to ensure invoices are approved and processed in a timely manner
- Support the accounting team with reporting and process improvements
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years bookkeeping experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with accounting software (Spectrum Viewpoint) and Microsoft Office
- High integrity and attention to detail
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred but not required
