Bookkeeper

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to lead a comprehensive accounting reconstruction project for multiple businesses.

The successful candidate will reconstruct several years of bookkeeping records, reconcile all accounts, and prepare complete and accurate financial records for CPA review and tax preparation.

This is a full-time project expected to last approximately 4 months. Outstanding performance may result in a permanent position with our organization.

Responsibilities

• Reconstruct bookkeeping records.
• Review and organize financial records.
• Download and categorize bank and credit card transactions.
• Reconcile all bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Prepare accurate monthly and year-end Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
• Maintain organized accounting workpapers.
• Coordinate directly with ownership regarding missing information.
• Prepare finalized books for CPA review and tax preparation.
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures.

QualificationsRequired

• Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Advanced QuickBooks Online proficiency.
• Strong bank and credit card reconciliation experience.
• Experience performing bookkeeping cleanup or reconstruction projects.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred

• QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification.
• Experience with lconstruction companies, or professional service businesses.
• Accounting or bookkeeping degree or certification.

Performance Bonus Program

In addition to hourly pay, this position includes substantial performance bonuses for meeting project milestones while maintaining high-quality work.

Bonuses are earned based on timely completion of assigned bookkeeping reconstruction phases and successful CPA review.

Total bonus opportunity: Up to $10,000.
