Bookkeeper - Accounting Clerk

Our full-time staff also receive PTO! As for the schedule, our Bookkeeper - Accounting Clerk works full- or part-time between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

WHAT TO EXPECT AS OUR BOOKKEEPER - ACCOUNTING CLERK

This position is so much more than a recordkeeper. You'll be a financial advocate for our business, providing leadership with detailed financial insights and helping them make the right decisions for the company. Handling vital job costing, accrual accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable responsibilities, you'll make sure all records are accurate and updated. You'll maintain our books, general ledger, and project records as well as handle vital month- and year-end close processes.

Prioritizing accuracy, you'll measure job revenue, record expenses (labor, materials, etc.), and reconcile job costing data. You'll keep track of all vendor invoices, make payments on time, and report any cost variances to leadership. You'll also track customer invoices, reconciling payments as they come in and flagging accounts with overdue balances. Every month, you'll accurately reconcile loans, bank accounts, and credit cards as well as generate detailed financial documents for leadership.

Would you excel in this full- or part-time bookkeeping position? Here's what you need:

• Accounting software experience (preferably QuickBooks Online)
• Job costing and project-based accounting experience
• Ability to use CRMs, spreadsheets, and job costing systems
• High Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting
• Sharp attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to take ownership of your work and give your best every day
• Preferred - bookkeeping experience with a construction or home improvement company
