Bookkeeper-Accounts Payable & Billing

Overview

We are a small, agile company looking for a meticulous and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage our monthly financial cycle. This role is perfect for a highly organized professional who enjoys "owning" the books for a small business and ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

You will primarily focus on accounts payable, client invoicing, and tax compliance. We are looking for a candidate who strikes the right balance between high-level expertise and cost-efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

Your monthly workflow will include:

  • Reporting & Billing: Generating and formatting monthly time reports from Teamwork for internal review and handling all monthly invoicing to our clients.
  • Accounts Payable: Managing A/P workflows through Melio on an as-needed basis to ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
  • Reconciliation: Performing monthly account reconciliations to maintain "audit-ready" financial records.
  • Tax Compliance: Managing quarterly estimated tax payments for both Federal and State requirements.
  • Year-End Support: Assisting with documentation for annual filings.

Qualifications

  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Teamwork (time tracking) and Melio (payments) is highly preferred.
  • Accounting Accuracy: Proven experience in account reconciliation and A/P management for small businesses.
  • Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of quarterly estimated tax workflows.
  • Detail Oriented: You catch the discrepancies that others miss.
  • Reliability: Since this is a low-hour/high-impact role, we need someone who can stick to monthly deadlines consistently.

  • TPIN Holder: If you are a registered tax preparer with a PTIN and can handle full Tax Return Preparation, please highlight this in your application!
