Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. Duties

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar financial tools
  • Prepare and record journal entries accurately, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial statements and reports
  • Assist with payroll processing and tax-related documentation to ensure compliance with governmental regulations
  • Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports for management review
  • Maintain organized financial records, including account analysis, account reconciliation, and general ledger documentation
  • Provide administrative support such as data entry (including 10 key typing), filing, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and financial concepts
  • Experience with governmental accounting procedures and tax compliance is preferred
  • Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Familiarity with financial report writing and account analysis techniques
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficiency in bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll processing
  • Basic knowledge of technical accounting concepts such as general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting financial processes confidently
  • Minimum one year experience in QuickBooks
  • Payroll experience required

Pay: $35,000.00 - $52,266.41 per year
