Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Bookkeeper Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This role is crucial for the financial health of our company, and we are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy. As a Bookkeeper Clerk, you will play an integral part in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers' ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including entering bills, processing payments, and creating invoices.
• Conduct regular reconciliation of all bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure their accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Manage payroll processes in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain and update historical records by filing financial documents systematically.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a bookkeeping or similar role.
• A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Demonstrable ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Excellent data entry skills with a strong aptitude for numbers.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
• A high degree of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• A degree or certification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is considered an advantage.
