Bookkeeper & HR asst

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & HR Assistant to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to both financial management and human resources functions. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting HR processes that foster a positive workplace environment.

Duties

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities to ensure accurate financial data entry and record keeping
  • Prepare and process journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and handle accounts reconciliation tasks
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Support HR functions including onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with benefits administration
  • Assist with monthly billing functions
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing and analyzing necessary reports

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate's degree in accounting or a closely related field
  • Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation
  • Experience with bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll processing
  • Excellent organizational skills including 10 key typing proficiency for data entry tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to support HR functions such as employee onboarding and benefits administration

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
