Instrumental is a rapidly-growing business services firm, working exclusively with IT Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The company offers a variety of services, including full bookkeeping support and operational instrumentation.

Overview:

We are seeking an accountant/bookkeeper to support our growing operations. This role is crucial to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll and tax processes, and ensuring smooth month‑end and year‑end close. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple internal stakeholders. Must have excellent communication skills. NOTE: This role is in-person on site and NOT remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily financial transactions
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts and departmental classifications
• Classify all transactions accurately
• Approve internal financial requests
• Accounts Payable
• Provide payroll support including processing commissions and bonuses
• Basic financial reporting with weekly and monthly reporting to management
• Sales tax support
• Month-end and Year-end close along with Controller
• Assist with records for external CPA and year-end audits

Qualifications:

• 2–4+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (required).
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Paylocity a plus.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
