Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Bookkeeper with expertise in QuickBooks Online to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online and other accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and Quicken.
- Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and account analysis to ensure data integrity.
- Record journal entries, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage payroll functions as needed.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to verify financial accuracy.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements, including tax preparation and compliance documentation.
- Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and double-entry bookkeeping standards throughout all processes.
Skills
- Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online; familiarity with other accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Quicken, and Financial software platforms.
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting practices, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, and public accounting standards.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Ability to perform accounts payable & receivable functions along with tax experience related to payroll and other financial obligations.
- Excellent skills in financial report writing, budget analysis, and technical accounting procedures.
