Bookkeeper & Payroll Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This vital role combines the precision of bookkeeping with the strategic oversight of payroll functions, ensuring our financial records are accurate, compliant, and up-to-date. Duties

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks, and Bill.com to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to maintain precise financial records aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Prepare and process journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation activities to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records.
  • Coordinate clients payroll processing, including calculating wages, tax deductions, benefits, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with governmental accounting standards and tax regulations by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
  • Generate comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, providing insights into organizational financial health.
  • Assist with budgeting activities and provide support for financial report writing to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct double-entry bookkeeping practices and ensure all debits & credits are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
  • Support internal audits by preparing documentation related to account analysis and account reconciliation activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems related to payroll processing is a plus.
  • Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting efficiently.
  • Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and account analysis tasks.

Pay: $27.50 - $33.12 per hour
