Bookkeeper - Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Firm

About Us:

We are a high-volume Center City Philadelphia plaintiff personal injury law firm looking to expand our team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a bookkeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our firm's finances, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will be a key player in supporting our operations and contributing to the firm's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including general ledgers, income statements, and balance sheets.
  • Manage trust accounts according to IOLTA regulations.
  • Generate invoices and track client fees.
  • Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all financial transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficient in QuickBooks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with legal accounting
