Bookkeeper & Property Accounting Specialist

Job Summary
Ski Town Commercial is hiring a full-time Bookkeeper / Property Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting and financial administration across our property operations and affiliated entities. This role is responsible for accounts payable, invoice coding, account and ledger support, reconciliations, deposits, collections documentation, and organized recordkeeping.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and able to keep financial information clean, accurate, and current. This is a strong fit for someone who likes structure, follows through, and can work across accounting, operations, leasing, and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and on time
  • Verify invoice detail, approvals, backup documentation, and proper GL/property coding
  • Maintain tenant, resident, and customer ledgers, including charges, payments, credits, and adjustments
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows
  • Track deposits, receipts, and supporting accounting documentation
  • Reconcile accounts and help identify discrepancies, duplicate charges, or missing entries
  • Support delinquency, collections, and ledger documentation as needed
  • Organize financial records and maintain accurate digital and physical files
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing, coding, and account questions
  • Assist with local administrative accounting tasks, including bank deposits and document handling

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, AP/AR, or accounting support experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in accounting systems and Excel or Google Sheets
  • Clear communication and follow-through
  • Property management, real estate, or construction-related accounting experience preferred
  • AppFolio experience preferred, but not required

Requirements

  • Must be based in or near Steamboat Springs, CO
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
  • This is not a fully remote role; local availability is required for banking, receipts, deposits, and related administrative tasks

Pay
$28.00–$33.00 per hour, based on experience

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
