Bookkeeper & Procurement Manager
Commercial Roofing Company – US Virgin Islands (Remote)
We are a well-established commercial roofing company seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Procurement Manager to join our team remotely. This dual-role position combines full-cycle bookkeeping with strategic purchasing of construction materials to keep projects on schedule across the US Virgin islands. You will report directly to the Owner and General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online: A/P, A/R, bank & credit card reconciliations, job costing, and financial reporting.
- Manage procurement: source and order commercial roofing materials (TPO, metal roofing, coatings, fasteners, etc.) from vendors.
- Prepare and submit AIA billing (progress invoices) for construction projects.
- Input purchase orders, track inventory, monitor job requirements, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain vendor relationships and support cost control.
- Prepare accurate weekly/monthly financial reports for owner.
- Process payroll, invoicing, and compliance as needed.
- Contribute to app development initiatives (internal tools for procurement, job tracking, or inventory management).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Strong bookkeeping/accounting background (construction industry experience strongly preferred).
- Preferred experience with General Contractors bid/payment submission websites (e.g. Oracle, Procor, building connect, etc...)
- Proven purchasing/supply chain experience, ideally in construction or roofing.
- Experience with AIA billing in construction projects.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written/verbal communication and reporting skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet, quiet workspace, and self-motivated remote work style.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Commercial roofing or construction industry experience.
- Familiarity with roofing materials, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Experience with construction job-costing software or integrated platforms.
- Interest or experience in app development (e.g., building or optimizing internal tools).
- Knowledge of USVI/multi-territory tax and compliance requirements. (preferred)
