About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper based in India or Pakistan to support an Australia-based client. The role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger
- Prepare financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Process invoices, payments, and expense tracking
- Assist with BAS/IAS preparation (preferred but not required)
- Work closely with the client and accountants to ensure compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (minimum 2–3 years)
- Experience working with Australian clients (highly preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting
- Familiarity with Australian tax system (BAS, GST) is a plus
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely
Working Hours
- Must be available to overlap with Australian business hours (AEST)
- Flexible schedule depending on workload
