We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage essential financial processes, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support our company's financial health. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various accounting software and possess a strong understanding of GAAP principles, governmental accounting, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Client invoicing, payment tracking, collections
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP)
• Subcontractor/vendor payments
• Expense tracking and job cost allocation
• Perform monthly and ongoing reconciliations
• Bank accounts, credit cards, vendor balances
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in QuickBooks
• Track job costs and project expenses across multiple jobs
• Identify and resolve discrepancies without supervision
• Provide basic financial reports (P&L, cash flow summaries)
• Coordinate with CPA/accountant as needed

Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/AP-AR experience
• Proven experience handling BOTH payables and receivables independently
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (or equivalent)
• Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
• Ability to manage financial processes without step-by-step direction
• Experience in construction, contracting, or job costing
• Familiarity with subcontractor billing and project-based accounting
• Ability to spot errors and improve processes
