We are a growing small construction company based in the Kalona, Iowa area, focused on delivering high-quality work and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. We’re looking for a reliable and organized professional to help manage our day-to-day financials and office operations.

Position Overview
This role combines bookkeeping and administrative responsibilities, supporting both the financial and daily operations of the business. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a small business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks
  • Process payroll accurately and on time
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Help manage incoming phone calls and emails
  • Assist with general administrative and office tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience with QuickBooks (required)
  • Payroll processing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
