Bookkeeping & Administrative Assistant – Job Cost Accounting (Hourly)

We are a growing construction management firm seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping and Administrative Assistant with experience in job cost accounting. This hourly role supports multiple construction projects by tracking costs, processing invoices, and assisting with general administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping and data entry in QuickBooks
- Track job costs by project, phase, and cost code
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Manage lien releases and contractor insurance verification
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain accurate project cost reports and budgets
- Prepare and update Excel spreadsheets for reporting to real estate investment firm clients
- Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Support administrative and document management tasks
Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience required
- Experience with construction job cost accounting
- Experience in construction management, contracting, or real estate strongly preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Compensation
- Hourly rate range $35-55/hour commensurate with experience
