Bookkeeping & Administrative Assistant – Job Cost Accounting (Hourly)

We are a growing construction management firm seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping and Administrative Assistant with experience in job cost accounting. This hourly role supports multiple construction projects by tracking costs, processing invoices, and assisting with general administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform bookkeeping and data entry in QuickBooks
  • Track job costs by project, phase, and cost code
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Manage lien releases and contractor insurance verification
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Maintain accurate project cost reports and budgets
  • Prepare and update Excel spreadsheets for reporting to real estate investment firm clients
  • Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Support administrative and document management tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bookkeeping or accounting experience required
  • Experience with construction job cost accounting
  • Experience in construction management, contracting, or real estate strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Compensation

  • Hourly rate range $35-55/hour commensurate with experience
  • Flexible schedule with opportunity for growth

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
