Duties

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, ramp and others
• Perform bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable processing, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Support organization with account analysis, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to streamline their financial workflows
• Complete invoicing for grants and contracts

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial management tools
• Strong understanding of GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts
• Experience with governmental accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus
• Expertise in bank reconciliation, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable management, and account reconciliation
• Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting accurately
• Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience, and budget management techniques
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle high-volume data entry (10 key typing) efficiently
• Strong analytical skills for account analysis and technical accounting tasks
• Effective communication skills for financial report writing and client interactions

Pay: $26.40 - $31.79 per hour
