Bookkeeping - Team Leader

P&A is a growing bookkeeping company that began in Rockland, Maine in 1992. We are currently looking for a full-time bookkeeping professional with management experience to join our team. We offer the flexibility to work entirely remote or in-office, depending on employee preference.

Roles and Responsibilities:

A Team Lead at P&A will work directly with P&A staff, our clients and their advisors to complete relevant bookkeeping and accounting duties. The Team Lead is responsible for the overall operational performance of a small team (generally, teams consist of 3-4 accounting associates). The Team Lead will facilitate the team’s workflow, answer team questions, help problem solve, and provide guidance and mentorship to the team associates. In addition, the Team Lead acts as the communication liaison between the individual members of the team and clients, as well as the P&A management team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other similar training
  • Five or more years of practical work experience, including management level work
  • Excel and QuickBooks proficiency (any other experience in general ledger software packages is a plus)

They showcase integrity, trustworthiness and a cooperative attitude.

Team Leads should be proficient in accounts receivable and payable processing, financial account reconciliations, general journal entry preparation, sales and use tax reporting, month end close procedures and financial statement preparation.
