Box Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating trucks to deliver goods efficiently and on time, ensuring excellent customer service throughout every interaction. Your role is vital in maintaining smooth delivery operations, managing loading and unloading processes, and supporting warehouse functions. Duties

• Safely operate box trucks to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques while ensuring proper handling of items
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and report any maintenance needs
• Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining a focus on safety and customer satisfaction
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups
• Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory management, moving stock, and organizing shipments as needed
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts for record-keeping purposes

Experience

• Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations
• Prior delivery driver experience with box trucks or similar vehicles preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse operations including load & unload procedures
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
• Strong knowledge of route driving, heavy lifting techniques, and safety protocols during transportation and cargo handling
• Customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
• Ability to perform manual lifting tasks safely and efficiently in various working conditions

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Previous delivery or route driving experience preferred (laundry/dry cleaning experience a plus)
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy carts and bags
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
