Position: Medical Waste Route Driver

Job Summary

United Medical Waste Management is looking for a dependable Medical Waste Route Driver to service assigned customer routes. This job is all about safe driving, on-time pickups, and solid customer service. You’ll pick up medical waste and deliver it to approved facilities while following all safety and DOT rules.

Company trucks are equipped with GPS, cameras (inside and outside), and electronic logs (ELD).

What You’ll Do

• Run a daily route picking up medical waste from customer locations
• Load, secure, transport, and unload waste safely and correctly
• Follow assigned routes using company routing software
• Check paperwork each day (manifests, route sheets, etc.)
• Make sure waste is packaged properly before pickup
• Provide friendly, professional service to customers
• Communicate issues like missed pickups, reroutes, or container needs to dispatch
• Secure all waste, supplies, and equipment before driving
• Complete all paperwork neatly and accurately
• Use ELD and GPS systems as required
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections
• Report any vehicle or route issues to your supervisor
• Help cover routes when needed
• Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety rules
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• At least 6 months driving experience preferred (box truck or route work a plus)
• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid driver’s license (Class D or higher) with a good driving record
• Ability to obtain and keep a Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• Able to read, speak, and understand English for safety, paperwork, and DOT rules
• Reliable, safety-minded, and customer-focused
• Comfortable with physical work, loading, and unloading

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate (or ability to obtain)

Pay: $900.00 - $1,000.00 per week
