Box Truck Driver - Jacksonville

Coastal Courier & Delivery Services is seeking a reliable part-time driver to join our Jacksonville logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods through evening hours, unattended deliveries. We provide consistent routes and competitive pay.

Duties

• Operate a box truck for deliveries, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Perform route driving to deliver goods efficiently while adhering to scheduled timelines.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
• Manage paperwork and scanner related to deliveries, including bills of lading and delivery confirmations.
• Assist in moving heavy items as required, demonstrating physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Previous delivery driver experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of route navigation.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus, including loading/unloading procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently.
• A reliable work ethic with excellent time management skills.
