Box Truck Driver – Local and Regional Deliveries

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Driver to join our team for local and regional deliveries. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods efficiently to various destinations while providing excellent customer service. You will operate our 2007 Chevrolet C6500 24-foot box truck.Your role is vital in ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and representing our company professionally during each interaction. Responsibilities

• Operate a 23' Chevrolet C6500 box truck (7.8L Duramax Diesel, automatic transmission)
• Safely operate a box truck for local and regional delivery routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
• Load, unload, and organize deliveries efficiently to optimize route performance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients during deliveries and pickups.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and proper functioning of the truck.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock, and warehouse organization when required.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including BOL and POD forms
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic pre-trip inspections
• Communicate schedule updates and delivery status with dispatch

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or commercial driver with a focus on route driving.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously.
• Experience operating box trucks, manual transmissions, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
• Familiarity with warehouse procedures including load & unload operations and inventory handling.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with (CDL B preferred, but not required)
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving items, and vehicle operation. Join us in delivering excellence! Schedule

• Routes vary based on assignments (local, regional, and occasional short hauls)
• Based in Augusta, GA

Pay: From $800.00 per week

Work Location: On the road
