We are looking for an individual who is interested in mentoring boys ages 11-18 in a level 2 group home setting for up to 8 boys. This position offers an opportunity to mentor in teaching independent living skills, supervising routine daily tasks, helping with education/tutoring, and keeping records. Roles also provide an opportunity to assist in providing a stable, safe environment for youth who may have experienced neglect and trauma.
New Frontiers is a faith-based facility and hires staff with a love for Jesus and a desire to nurture boys who are in State custody.
1 part-time 1st and/or Mid 1st-2nd shift position for weekends (7:30 AM -3:30 pm). Would include some weekdays. This shift could also be 12-hour shifts if more hours are requested, and as needed to fill in for other staff.
Candidates must be detail-oriented with record keeping, must at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license, be able to occasionally work part-time weekend 12-hour shifts, have at minimum a high school education, and MUST be able to pass background checks (Department of Children’s Services policies apply).
