Branch Administration Specialist

Base Compensation Range:

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus and some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining pay, we consider various factors including, but not limited to, skills and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY: Supports branch administration, advancing initiatives that enable the branch network to achieve operational goals and maintain efficiency. Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance effectiveness. Champions enhancements to branch procedures. Partners with management to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with all policies and standards across the branch network. Serves as an operational subject matter expert, ensuring adherence to established governance standards.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as the operations subject matter expert for the Retail Branch Network, providing guidance, support, and direction on operational processes and best practices.
• Partners with retail leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure policy adherence, support consistent operational performance, promote efficiencies, and mitigate risk.
• Develops, updates, and maintains retail branch policies, procedures, and resources to ensure operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and effective branch operations.
• Supports the branch network in researching and resolving operational issues and inquiries to ensure timely resolution and a positive customer experience.
• Identifies and evaluates recurring operational process opportunities across branch locations and implements scalable solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and service delivery.
• Serves as a point of escalation for complex branch operations issues, coordinating research, resolution and communication with key stakeholders.
• Leads the development and delivery of operational training for the branch network, including new hire onboarding and ongoing training on branch systems, processes, and procedures to ensure operational consistency and effective branch performance.
• Collaborates with technology and operations teams to participate in testing for core banking, CRM, and digital banking systems to ensure operational readiness and successful implementation.
• Coordinates in-branch equipment upgrades and implementations, including ATMs, cash recyclers, and other operational technology.
Supports the negotiation of contracts, dispute resolution, and maintenance agreements with retail branch operations vendors.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of the banking industry and retail branch operations. Strong ability to interpret policies, provide procedural guidance, and exercise informed judgment in complex operational situations. Skilled in adopting and leveraging technologies to enhance efficiency, communication, and task management. Ability to manage multiple projects and workflow in a deadline driven environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is often performed in an office environment, with frequent interruptions. Required to travel locally and work a flexible schedule. Ability to stay in a stationary position, operate a computer, exchange information, move inside and outside the workplace for business purposes. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in accordance with Webster Five’s Remote Work Policy.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience.

MINIMUM PRIOR EXPERIENCE: 3 years’ related experience in retail banking or operations.
