Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Execute the sales plan and strategy for the branch to achieve and exceed the assigned sales targets and objectives.
- Monitor and supervise the achievement of the sales plan by the branch team leaders and medical representatives.
- Monitor and supervise the coverage plan to ensure optimal market penetration and efficient territory management as directed by sales management.
- Identify and target new key accounts and potential clients to expand the company's market share within the branch territory.
2. Financial Management & Control:
- Monitor, follow up, and ensure the collection and payment of open invoices within the month of sale.
- Actively manage and follow up on client debtors, including resolving bounced cheque issues.
- Monitor and control branch expenses by reviewing them with the assigned team leaders and supervisors.
3. Team Leadership & Communication:
- Clearly communicate all instructions from upper management (e.g., regarding pricing, bonuses, quotas, returns) to the branch's team leaders, supervisors, and medical representatives.
- Conduct random checks with representatives to ensure information has been received and understood clearly.
- Foster and coordinate cooperation between the suppliers' scientific offices and the branch's sales team to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
4. Operations & Customer Relationship Management:
- Follow up on slow-moving and obsolete stock (dead stock) and work on liquidating it in coordination with upper management requests.
- Conduct random communication with a sample of customers to measure their satisfaction with the interaction and service provided by supervisors and sales/distribution representatives, and the speed of request execution.
- Conduct field visits to key clients to assess the validity of their credit limits and the strength of the business relationship.
5. Field Presence & Monitoring:
- Be physically present at one of the assigned branches on a daily basis throughout the week, as coordinated with the Sales Director based on business requirements.
- Conduct regular field visits with the sales team to coach them and monitor market conditions firsthand.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field. A degree in Pharmacy is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and management, with at least 5 years in a direct line management role (e.g., Area Manager, Branch Manager).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a branch's P&L.
- Strong existing relationships with key pharmacies, distributors, and healthcare professionals in the assigned territory is a major plus.
