Job Overview:
We are looking for a commercially astute leader with a strong background in the travel industry. The ideal candidate will be accountable for the branch's revenue, profitability, and market share. You will lead from the front, converting opportunities, optimizing costs, and ensuring the financial health of the branch while leading our team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Driving Profitability & Sales Growth (Primary Accountability):
- Own and achieve the branch's monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for all products (packages, tickets, visas, hotels).
- Develop and execute aggressive sales strategies to acquire new customers and increase business from existing clients.
- Analyze pricing, margins, and supplier contracts to maximize profitability on every booking.
- Identify and penetrate new market segments (e.g., group tours, corporate MICE travel, pilgrimage packages) to diversify revenue streams.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adjust strategies and protect/grow market share.
2. Financial & Operational Management for Profit:
- Prepare, manage, and be accountable for the branch P&L. Control operational expenses and optimize resource allocation.
- Implement cost-control measures without compromising service quality.
- Regularly analyze sales reports, profit margins, and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and take corrective action.
- Ensure all financial processes (invoicing, collections, supplier payments) are efficient and timely.
3. Team Leadership for Results:
- Lead, coach, and mentor the team (Operations, Digital Marketing, Travel Consultant) to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Set clear performance goals for the team aligned with the branch's profitability objectives.
- Foster a high-performance, sales-oriented culture.
4. Strategic Partnerships & Business Development:
- Negotiate preferred agreements and higher commission structures with airlines, hotels, and tour operators to improve margins.
5. Marketing Coordination for ROI:
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive to ensure marketing campaigns are trackable, targeted, and deliver a strong Return on Investment (ROI).
- Provide input on profitable products and offers to promote.
