About the Role:

The Branch Manager/Lender plays a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of the financial institution's branch by overseeing daily operations and leading lending activities. This position is responsible for managing a team to deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The Branch Manager/Lender will focus on expanding the branch’s client base by opening new accounts and developing lending solutions tailored to customer needs. They will also analyze financial data to make informed lending decisions and contribute to the branch’s profitability and market presence. Ultimately, this role requires a strategic leader who can balance operational management with proactive business development to achieve both short-term and long-term goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking or financial services with a focus on lending and account management.
  • Proven experience in opening new accounts and managing branch operations.
  • Strong knowledge of lending regulations, credit analysis, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial software
  • Demonstrated success in business development and sales within the financial industry.
  • Familiarity with local market trends and customer demographics.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily branch operations to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery.
  • Lead, train, and motivate branch staff to meet performance and customer service standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to open new accounts and grow the branch’s customer base.
  • Assist with teller operations
  • Evaluate loan applications, assess creditworthiness, and make lending decisions in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls related to lending and account management.

Skills:

The required skills in opening new accounts are essential for daily interactions with prospective and existing customers, enabling the Branch Manager/Lender to expand the branch’s client portfolio effectively. Money handling experience is required. Strong leadership and communication skills are used to guide and develop the branch team, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction. Analytical skills are critical for evaluating loan applications and making sound lending decisions that balance risk and opportunity. Knowledge of regulatory compliance ensures that all operations meet legal standards, protecting both the Bank and its customers. Preferred skills such as proficiency with financial software, cash handling, and market knowledge enhance the ability to implement strategic initiatives and tailor services to meet evolving customer needs.
