Branch Services Specialist (Kaleva) - Permanent, Full-Time

The Manistee County Library is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong technological, customer service, and organizational skills to be our new full-time Branch Services Specialist for our Kaleva location.

The Manistee County Library is a county-wide system with a main library and five branches. This position serves as a technical and public service position which is designed and intended to adequately meet the needs of Manistee County Library patrons.

The Branch Services Specialist serves as an outgoing customer service specialist designed to adequately meet the needs of the Library’s patrons by being able to serve in a variety of operational capacities. The ideal candidate will have experience using databases, doing internet-based research, using the library's website, Google Workspace, and is comfortable learning new software and technology. Maintains the daily operations of a Manistee County Library Branch by performing all of the duties required to maintain customer service, product availability and the presence of a welcoming and well maintained facility.

Preferred Availability: This position requires some evening and weekend hours.

Education: Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience in a library setting.

Experience: The Library, at its discretion, may consider an alternative combination of formal education and work experience.

Starting Salary: $18.83 per hour
