Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in brand management or marketing within CPG, ideally with beverage or health/wellness categories.
Job Responsibilities:
The Brand Director for Synergy Kombucha will lead strategy, positioning, and performance for the company's flagship brand. This leader will ensure Synergy continues to thrive as the category pioneer and market leader, while also expanding its cultural relevance and consumer reach. Working closely with cross-functional partners, this person will own brand strategy, integrated marketing execution, product innovation, SKU management, and brand health tracking — championing Synergy's role in advancing both the kombucha category and the company's overall growth.
Brand Leadership & Strategy
- Define and drive the long-term strategic vision for Synergy Kombucha, balancing brand equity growth with short-term commercial performance.
- Lead positioning, brand architecture, and messaging to reinforce Synergy's role as the authentic, purpose-driven leader in the kombucha space.
- Oversee annual brand planning, including goal setting, budget allocation, and marketing calendar development.
- Manage brand health through consumer insights, category trends, competitive intelligence, and brand performance data.
Integrated Marketing Management
- Oversee development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across paid, earned, owned, and experiential channels.
- Drive authentic storytelling rooted in Synergy's mission, founder story, and wellness-forward positioning.
- Collaborate with Sales and Shopper Marketing to activate compelling programs that bring the brand to life at retail and accelerate velocity.
- Partner closely with Sales to ensure brand priorities, SKU portfolio management, and assortment strategy align with customer needs and company growth goals.
- Lead consumer engagement programs that strengthen connection with the brand and reinforce loyalty.
Product Innovation
- Identify opportunities to deepen consumer engagement and expand category penetration through flavor innovation, packaging evolution, and format expansion.
- Partner with R&D and Operations to deliver breakthrough innovation that aligns with Synergy's heritage, mission, and consumer needs.
- Ensure all innovation supports long-term brand equity and reinforces Synergy's wellness-forward positioning.
Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure brand strategy aligns with company objectives and customer needs.
- Build strong agency and vendor relationships to deliver best-in-class creative and execution.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor direct reports to grow as brand builders and marketers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and collaboration that reflects the values of the Synergy brand and company.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proven success in driving brand growth through strategy, marketing campaigns, and innovation.
- Strong foundation in consumer insights, integrated marketing, and P&L accountability.
- Demonstrated experience launching new products and flavor innovations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with both internal teams and external partners.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to thrive in a founder-led environment, with the desire to honor legacy while building the management systems, talent pipeline, and leadership infrastructure required for long-term growth and scale.

- Pay Range: $180,000.00 to $200,000.00 Salary + bonus eligible
