Job Title: Brand Manager
Location: Northern California (Northern California Hybrid – Field & Remote)
Job Overview
The Brand Manager is a key member of our Revenue Department, reporting directly to the Brand Director and overseeing a team of Brand Ambassadors within their region. This is a hybrid, on-the-road role that blends strategic planning with hands-on market execution. The Brand Manager ensures consistent brand representation across retail, distribution, and consumer touchpoints—driving sell-through, managing key B2B account relationships, and maximizing brand visibility through field activation.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly collaborative, and can balance account management, team leadership, and field marketing execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Brand Ambassadors, ensuring high-quality execution across all assigned accounts.
- Oversee scheduling and execution of retail launches, patient appreciation days, staff trainings, sample drops, and in-store events.
- Ensure budtender education is planned and delivered effectively while fostering long-term retail relationships.
B2B Account Management & Retail Support
- Partner closely with Account Managers and Sales teams to service top accounts and support revenue goals.
- Act as a primary point of contact for retail partners—building strong relationships with buyers, budtenders, and store staff.
- Manage merchandising schedules to ensure all dispensaries have updated displays, POS, and promotional assets.
- Assist with account introductions and support Sales Managers in strengthening the pipeline of opportunities.
Brand Execution & Marketing Collaboration
- Coordinate event logistics with Sales and Marketing to ensure proper staffing, materials, and product distribution.
- Maintain alignment with Marketing to ensure all active accounts have current digital and physical brand assets.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and consumer activations—positioning the brand professionally and strategically.
- Proactively identify new opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and brand visibility.
Market Awareness & Reporting
- Monitor competitor activity, consumer trends, and regional retail opportunities.
- Share market insights during sales meetings to inform brand and sales strategies.
- Track and report on KPIs, including event performance, account activity, and ambassador field execution.
- Ensure all retail and consumer-facing activations meet brand and compliance standards.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in brand management, account management, sales, or field marketing (CPG or cannabis experience strongly preferred).
- Proven success managing a field team and executing retail or brand activations.
- Strong relationship-building skills with demonstrated credibility among buyers, retail staff, and industry partners.
- Data-driven mindset with CRM and reporting experience; proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to deliver impactful trainings.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and skilled at prioritization in a fast-moving environment.
- Willingness to travel across the region, work evenings/weekends for events, and transport promotional materials in a personal vehicle.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually
- Vehicle stipend provided
