Job Summary

JLA Home is seeking a creative and strategic Brand Manager to join our License Brand Division and take ownership of our licensing brand architecture. In this role, you will ensure brand consistency across all licensed product categories, partner relationships, and consumer touchpoints — serving as the central hub between Sales, Product Development, Sourcing, Creative, and Licensing Partner teams. You will lead cross-functional timelines from concept through completion, manage licensing partner relationships, and translate brand strategy into clear, actionable direction that drives results at retail and direct-to-consumer. The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of brand management experience within a licensing or consumer products environment and thrives in a fast-moving, cross-functional organization.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project & Timeline Management — Serve as the central owner of all brand development timelines from initial concept through final launch, leading kickoff meetings, maintaining a master project calendar, monitoring progress across all workstreams, and proactively resolving bottlenecks to protect launch dates.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership — Act as the connective hub between Sales, Product Development, Sourcing, Creative, and Licensing Partner teams, translating brand strategy into clear, actionable briefs and ensuring every team executes effectively and on time within their function.
  • Licensing Partner Management — Build productive, collaborative relationships with licensees, ensuring packaging and marketing materials comply with brand standards and timeline commitments while driving brand-forward execution at retail and direct-to-consumer.
  • Market Research & Competitive Intelligence — Track licensing and brand trends across relevant product categories, conduct regular competitive analyses, gather consumer research, and synthesize insights into actionable brand and line planning direction for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Campaign & Content Oversight — Partner with Creative, Digital, and Marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across campaigns, social media, packaging, and trade materials, while managing the development of brand toolkits, sales presentations, and go-to-market assets for licensed product launches.

Key Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Industry Background: Licensing, Consumer Products, or Retail — required
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex multi-team timelines from concept through completion — Must
  • Brand Management: Experience developing and enforcing brand guidelines across multiple product categories or partners — Must
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to internal stakeholders and external partners — Must
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with project management tools such as Asana or Monday.com
  • Nice to Have: Experience working directly with licensees; background in multi-brand environments; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or digital asset management systems

Compensation

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience. We are looking for the right candidate whose compensation will be determined based on the depth, relevance, and proven track record of their work experience.

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
