We are looking for the right person to help us grow two locally owned businesses in Sedona: Jaliza’s Beauty Lounge and Sedona Permanent Jewelry.

Both businesses are very visual, client-focused, and brand-driven. Jaliza’s Beauty Lounge is focused on beauty, skincare, hair, and luxury client experiences. Sedona Permanent Jewelry is a growing jewelry brand located in Uptown Sedona, serving both locals and visitors.

We need someone who can help bring both brands to life online and in the community.

This is a full-time role for someone creative, organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership. We are not looking for someone who needs to be micromanaged every day. We are looking for someone who can plan ahead, create beautiful content, stay on top of deadlines, and bring new ideas to the table.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will help manage the marketing for both businesses. This includes social media, content creation, email campaigns, text campaigns, monthly content calendars, local partnerships, promotions, and basic brand support.

Some days you may be filming reels, taking photos, and creating content in the shop or beauty lounge. Other days you may be writing captions, building an email campaign, planning next month’s content calendar, helping with an event, or reviewing what worked from the last campaign.

This role is creative, but it also requires organization and follow-through.

Main Responsibilities

Manage Instagram and Facebook for both businesses.

Create and schedule posts, reels, stories, and promotional content.

Write captions that sound natural, polished, and on-brand.

Create monthly content calendars for both businesses and submit them for review.

Take weekly photo and video content at both locations.

Help create reels, behind-the-scenes content, service content, jewelry content, staff content, and promotional content.

Create email campaigns for specials, events, new services, product launches, and client education.

Create text message campaigns for promotions, announcements, and client updates.

Help keep both Google Business Profiles updated with photos, posts, services, promotions, and business information.

Monitor reviews and draft review responses when needed.

Assist with basic website updates, including promotions, service descriptions, images, staff bios, and event pages.

Create simple graphics for social media, stories, flyers, signage, emails, and promotions.

Help plan and promote in-store events, pop-ups, product launches, beauty specials, and seasonal campaigns.

Look for local partnership opportunities with hotels, resorts, wedding vendors, photographers, boutiques, restaurants, concierges, and other Sedona businesses.

Help organize photos, videos, graphics, and marketing materials so we always have content ready to use.

Put together a simple monthly marketing recap showing what was posted, what performed well, what campaigns went out, and what we should focus on next.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who has a good eye, strong writing skills, and a real interest in marketing, branding, beauty, jewelry, lifestyle content, and small business growth.

You should be able to notice the little things. A crooked photo, a caption that does not sound quite right, a graphic that feels off-brand, or a campaign that needs more planning.

You do not need to know everything, but you do need to be willing to learn, take feedback well, and stay consistent.

This role would be a great fit for someone who loves creating content, enjoys working with beautiful brands, and wants to be part of a small business where their work actually matters.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following areas:

Marketing
Advertising
Public Relations
Communications

Must live in Sedona, the Verde Valley, or be seriously interested in relocating to the area.

Must be available for a full-time, in-person role.

Must be comfortable creating content for Instagram and Facebook.

Must be able to write captions, emails, text campaigns, and promotional copy.

Must be organized and able to manage deadlines.

Must be comfortable creating monthly content calendars.

Must be reliable, professional, and self-motivated.

Must be able to work with minimal micromanaging.

Experience We’d Love to See

Experience managing social media for a business or brand.

Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, email marketing platforms, or scheduling tools.

Experience creating reels, short videos, stories, graphics, or promotional content.

Experience in beauty, skincare, hair, jewelry, retail, weddings, hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle marketing.

Basic understanding of Google Business Profile, local SEO, or online reviews.

Experience helping with events, launches, seasonal promotions, or local collaborations.

Pay

Starting at $52,000 per year - $62,000, depending on experience.

This is an in-person role based in Sedona, Arizona.

Schedule will be discussed during the interview process. Some flexibility may be needed for content days, events, launches, or special promotions.
