Brand & Web Design Associate (Canva & Wix)

The Artist Lab is a creative education organization offering programs in Fine Arts, Digital Arts, and STEAM. Our mission is to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression in every student. We’re seeking a talented Canva Designer / Wix Web Designer to help us elevate our visual presence across digital platforms and maintain a creative, professional online brand.

Position Overview:

The Canva Designer / Wix Web Designer will create visually appealing designs for marketing materials, social media, and website updates. This is a part-time role ideal for a creative professional who loves design, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys working in an educational and artistic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design digital and print materials in Canva, including flyers, social media graphics, event invitations, and promotional materials.
• Update and manage the company's website on Wix, ensuring pages are visually cohesive and user-friendly.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to maintain consistent branding and design standards.
• Assist in developing creative content for digital marketing campaigns and email newsletters.
• Implement basic SEO updates and ensure mobile optimization of web content.
• Manage and organize design assets for future use.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience designing in Canva and building or maintaining websites in Wix.
• Strong eye for layout, color, and typography.
• Understanding of brand identity and visual storytelling.
• Basic knowledge of SEO, user experience, and responsive web design.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
• Portfolio or sample work required upon application.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing for arts, education, or creative industries.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools or social media scheduling platforms.
• Photography or video editing experience is a plus.
