About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Breakfast & Café Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing a variety of breakfast dishes, pastries, egg-based specialties, sandwiches, salads, and light lunch items. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of breakfast dishes, including egg-based specialties and healthy breakfast options.
• Produce fresh pastries, baked goods, sandwiches, and salads.
• Prepare light lunch items in line with the café's menu and standards.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Assist in developing and enhancing breakfast and café menu offerings.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Manage inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and control.
• Minimize food waste and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef, Café Chef, or similar role.
• Strong expertise in breakfast preparation, pastries, egg dishes, sandwiches, salads, and light lunch offerings.
• Experience working in cafés, bakeries, breakfast concepts, or casual dining establishments.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative mindset with a passion for food presentation and menu innovation.
• Culinary qualification or certification is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in menu planning and recipe development.
• Knowledge of food costing and inventory management.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Passion for creating fresh, high-quality café-style food.
